What is painted on the wall by the whistle
One page. It is posted at the doors, repeated at the tables and applied by whoever is on the floor without argument.
Coming in
Who gets through the doors
- Eighteen and over, no exceptions, and that covers the dining tables as much as the card room.
- Photo ID may be asked for at the doors and again at a table.
- The floor can refuse entry or ask you to leave without explaining why.
- Assistance animals are welcome inside; other animals wait in the shade out front with someone.
At the tables
What the felt allows
- House chips belong to the shed, count points and hold no monetary value of any kind.
- Cash passing between players ends the hand, and if it happens twice it ends the evening.
- House decks only; personal cards stay off the felt.
- The whistle means shift one seat clockwise, or tell the floor you are sitting the round out.
- Score pads are wiped at close and nothing carries into another night.
In the shed
Keeping it liveable
- Phones on silent — corrugated iron carries every word, so take the call out by the doors.
- Ask before photographing anyone at another table.
- Service stops for anyone who has clearly had enough, and the bar decides that, not the drinker.
- We will call a cab any time we are open and hold your keys behind the bar while you wait.
